I thought this was a very informative review - having said that, I have no way of telling if the information provided is 100% accurate! SanDisk Extreme Pro 16GB SDHC UHS-1 High Performance memory card - NEW 95MB/s version http://amzn.to/HgFSiL

I chose to go with the Transcend: http://amzn.to/HgGDIN

Computing Made Easy: the Mac from Apple

What is it?
A Mac is a computer made by Apple. It is called a Mac because it runs the Macintosh operating system (OS). Apple sells the MacBook, which is their line of laptops and the iMac, which is their line of desktop computers.

By now, you have probably heard of Apple's computers and wondered what is all the fuss about. It is their ease of use and the fact that they 'just work' that gives them their appeal. In addition, users find that they 'do' a lot more with a Mac such as create videos, build a website or view photo slides shows. Finally, they are aesthetically appealing, which may mean nothing to you at this point but once you have one you will know what I am talking about!

Gadgets & Gear: Multi-Room Wireless Music

A friend of mine recently spoke of his visit to a local Best Buy (electronics store) to find out how to play music through his living room stereo from his home computer. Leaving there without a solution he ended up calling Apple and later purchased an Airport Express. This is a great way to "stream" music and all for $100.

A couple of years ago I purchased a Mac Mini from Apple, hooked it up to the receiver of our home theater system and ever since we've been able to play music through the stereo system.

These solutions are great, albeit with some limitations, but what should you do if you want multi-room wireless music capability? If it were me, I would choose the Sonos system. Below is a link from Home Theater Magazine that does a great job of reviewing the product. I've also included a video directly from Sonos. There are other solutions out there, including a limited option from Bose, but from what I've read, it seems as though the Sonos is the easiest to setup and use.

Photo: Cameras & Gear for the Holidays

Whether you are interested in buying photo equipment for yourself or someone, the links below have great recommendations.

DSLR's
If you are interested in a DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera - the ones for which you can buy additional lenses - now is a very interesting time. The usual suspects, Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Pentax, etc. have a great selection and some models offer video, albeit, it may not replace your dedicated camcorder. I expect better video capabilities in future models.

Olympus and Panasonic have developed DSLR-like cameras - EP2 and GF1 respectively - which allows for (a few) interchangeable lenses but with a much better weight advantage, that is, they are a lot less bulky.
